Volunteers of the Hellenic Red Cross branch of Kilkis visited ELVIAL's premises as part of the first aid training for the company's employees.
The Hellenic Red Cross Volunteer Corps of Samaritans, Rescuers & Lifeguards is perhaps the largest volunteer unit in the country and certainly one of the most important as its mission is to provide first aid and emergency medical services where necessary. At the same time, the action of the corps extends to the comprehensive and continuous information and training of citizens in the provision of emergency first aid.
ELVIAL employees were trained in first aid in a seminar that spanned a total of 12 hours and was held in two phases on 3 and 8 July at the company's premises in Kilkis. This knowledge is considered extremely important in the workplace as the participants will be prepared to help if the need arises.
The full training program "First Aid for Citizens" in which those who participated received first aid skills certification, includes:
1. First aid basics
2. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
3. Bleeding and wounds
4. Emergencies
We are committed that such an initiative will be continued with the aim that more employees will receive such relevant training in the future.
