The 10th Conference of the Panhellenic Federation of Aluminum & Iron Craftsmen (POVAS), held from May 15–17, 2026, in Ioannina at the Hotel Du Lac Congress & Spa, was successfully completed.

ELVIAL participated dynamically in the conference as a distinguished sponsor, actively contributing to the thematic discussions that fostered dialogue around the industry’s current challenges and developments.

During her address, ELVIAL President, Mrs. Tania Tzika, referred to both the major challenges and the significant prospects of the aluminum industry, highlighting the timeless value of Greek expertise and the importance of continuous evolution within an ever-changing international environment.  She emphasized that the answer to today’s challenges lies in the combination of technological innovation and investment in people, noting that digitalization and education are key pillars for the sustainable development of the sector.

MR TZIKA

Within this framework, she presented the company’s digital solutions, including ELVIAL Home, ELVIAL Hub, and ELVIAL Digital Passport, while also announcing the creation of ELVIRA, ELVIAL’s new AI-powered digital assistant, expected to be launched by the end of 2026. ELVIRA will serve a broad range of users, from ELVIAL employees and partners to end consumers, architects, and engineers.

At the same time, special emphasis was placed on education and the development of expertise, with reference to the completion of the licensing process for the new ELVIAL Technology Center, a state-of-the-art 2,000 sq.m. facility dedicated to education, innovation, and knowledge, reaffirming ELVIAL’s strategic commitment to shaping the future of Greek aluminum.

As part of the conference, Mr. Vasilis Kerestetzis, Head of Digital Business Solutions & Innovation at ELVIAL, also participated as a speaker on the topic of digital transformation in the modern aluminum industry. Through three key pillars, the digital day-to-day operations of fabrication businesses, the new European regulatory framework, and the transition to BIM, he highlighted how modern technologies are transforming the way fabricators work. He presented ELVIAL’s digital initiatives, with emphasis on order management and production monitoring portals, artificial intelligence, digital traceability through the Digital Product Passport (DPP), and Building Information Modelling (BIM) tools that enhance collaboration, efficiency, and the overall experience of partners and customers. The central message of the presentation was clear: technology does not replace the craftsman  it upgrades him. And digital transformation is no longer an option, but a necessary condition for the future of the industry.
